Below are the competition brackets of walk groups. Please register in the group bracket of your choice.

Team Groupings:

  • Team of 5 or more adults
  • Team of 2-4 adults
  • Team of 1 adult
  • Team of 1 or more adults and children (0-17)

The scavenger hunt will take place in your own community. You pick the place your group wants to find the items on the APSH list. Participants must remain on public or personal property at all times.

If you already registered/donated on the Highmark Walk page you still must register your APSH team through the link below. Angels’ Place staff member, Kara Sorenson, will contact you to help create your private group on the GroupMe app and add all participants.

All registered APSH teams will receive a Zoom link to meet at 10:00 AM to review rules and regulations. Following the Zoom meeting the scavenger hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 AM and end promptly at 12:30 PM.

Photo Outdoor Scavenger Hunt Rules and Regulations

Scavenger Hunt Objectives:

The object is to find as many items on the list as you can within 2 hours (10:30 AM-12:30 PM).

  • Must have at least 1 smartphone with camera and app capabilities (pictures will be used as proof- upload to your private group chat on GroupMe). Remember to have your phone battery charged and plenty of room on memory.
  • All ages welcome (anyone under the age of 18 in your scavenger hunt group MUST ALWAYS be supervised by their parents or other adults in the group)
  • Online registration required prior to event – disclosure must be read and signed.
  • All team leaders will be given the list at 10:30 AM – no early distributing.
  • The first team to find all the items on the list wins!
  • All items must be found by the team and uploaded in the private group chat in GroupMe. All registered participants in the group chat can upload pictures.

Things To Do:

  • Only capture photos of items. Do not take items.
  • Try to designate a person (or two!) who receives good phone service or can easily connect to Wi-Fi so photos of items can be uploaded quickly and easily.
  • Make sure each group has a mobile phone and contact numbers for emergency.

Things Not To Do:

  • Do not trespass on private property!
  • Break any laws.

Winners:

  • Teams must submit their photos to the GroupMe private chat by 12:30 PM sharp!
  • The team with all items found wins. If teams submit all their photos before the time limit is up, the team submitting all of the items first wins. Time will be the tiebreaking factor. Winners will be announced on the Angels’ Place website at angelsplacepgh.org and on Facebook.
  • Winning groups will be awarded in all four competing brackets.
