Infants

Children begin learning immediately after they are born and take in the world primarily through their senses. At Angels’ Place, your infant’s first experience in child care is marked by strong, positive attachments with their caregivers in a safe, engaging environment that nurtures the development of the whole child.

Activities: Exploration, sensory and tactile experiences, music and movement, peek a boo, early literacy, outdoor activities, blocks, exercise and muscle development.

Young Toddlers

Toddlers, now firmly entrenched in their independence thrive in classrooms with teachers who encourage the children to explore their surroundings and engage with one another in play. Social-emotional skill building is the primary focus in our toddler classrooms, helping children learn to express their needs and emotions through their growing language.

Activities: Dramatic play, discovery science, blocks, art, early literacy, water play, sand play, music and movement, daily opportunities for outdoor play.

Age: 1 – 2 years old

Older Toddlers

The transitional stages between toddlerhood and preschool provides a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, within a routine that provides consistency and predictability and draws from areas of practical and real life experiences. We provide a nurturing, flexible, and calm atmosphere where affection is freely given, self-concept is enhanced, independence is encouraged and expectations are made clear. We encourage social development through cooperative play.

Activities: Art, math, science, cooking, music and movement, large muscle, early literacy, dramatic play, yoga, and ample opportunities for outdoor play.

Age: 2 – 3 years old

Pre-K

Children in our Pre-K program focus on kindergarten readiness skills, such as counting, reading and writing their name, gaining spacial and body awareness, and developing their social and emotional competence. As their independence grows, they are encouraged to explore the world around them through ongoing investigations of interest-based topics. They form strong friendships that flourish with their exponentially growing social skills and cultivate a love of learning.

Activities: Daily circle time, early literacy, STEAM activities (science, technology, engineering, art and math), daily opportunities for outdoor play, social and emotional skill development.

Age: 3 to 5 years old
