

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Angels' Place is always looking for innovative students and recent graduates who are driven, able to accomplish a million things at once and who are willing to effect change and make an impact. We offer a competitive internship process, requiring interviews, health assessment and background check.
Through the Angels' Place Internship Program, we offer:

DEVELOPMENT
Do you dream of helping charitable organizations raise the funds they need? Are you passionate about social responsibility in our world? If so, we need your help! Come join our development team as we work together on a meaningful purpose.
Our Development Interns will have the opportunity to:
� Create and implement an organizational development plan and timeline to handle budgetary demands.
� Help develop resource plans to sustain programs and services.
� Assist with budget preparation, documentation requirements, and compliance issues.
� Identify and target foundations, corporations, and new giving sources.
� Help create grant proposals and assist in tracking and follow-up.
� Assist in relationship building with corporations, foundations, and individual donors.
� Research new funding sources and ideas.
� Help increase and maintain donor database while maintaining and updating established sources.
� Help establish new partnerships to increase available resource base for organization
� Assist in creating phenomenal fundraisers for the organization.
The right candidate will be:
� An exceptionally well-spoken individual with a flair for the written word that will make a tired piece of paper stand up and take notice.
� Able to communicate to many different audiences (or willing to learn), have impeccable manners and be able to write a memorable thank-you
� Proficient in MS Word and Excel, able to execute quick and thorough Internet research.
� May have MS Access and Donor Perfect knowledge but we will train right candidate.
� Able to dedicate a specific number of hours a week.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
Are you interested in supporting a nonprofit with special events and public relations? If so, Angels' Place can use your talents!
As a Special Events/Marketing/Public Relations intern, you will help:
� Design and implement activities and events that make seasoned veterans in the field wish they had thought of it first!
� Create marketing collateral that entices and intrigues, including new media kit, newsletters, brochures, flyers, invitations, programs, and more!
� Expand media relations to expand public awareness of Angels' Place by tracking media placement, growing media relations, writing press releases and PSAs.
� Engage other community organizations to support the work of Angels' Place through savy targeting and marketing.
� Assist in development of partnership events and promotions through research and creativity.
We are interested in receiving special events intern applications from people who:
� Quick-thinking, able to work independently, and have an energetic, persuasive personality!
� Proficient in MS Word and Excel & adept at social media tools
� Writes well
� Able to use digital camera with some desktop publishing skills.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER

NAEYC accredited Angels' Place, Inc. provides the perfect experience for novice teachers. Our small group sizes permit intern teachers the opportunity to build a positive rapport with teachers, parents and children. It is well proven that partnerships provide the best learning experience for all involved. Intern teachers also have the benefits of participating in all the different types of teacher activities.
As an Early Childhood Education Teacher Intern, you will experience and learn how to assist the teacher/team in:
� Inventing curricula for the children that is developmentally appropriate
� Implementing child and teacher initiated activities
� Creating bulletin boards and visual displays
� Assisting children in practicing and reaching developmental goals
� Providing children with experiences rich in literacy
� Aiding children with routine daily activities
� Ability to recognize professional attitudes and behaviors and incorporate into daily actions
� Learning about and supporting the philosophy of the program
� Treating all children with dignity and respect at all times
� Maintaining classroom management
� Assuming responsibility for the welfare, health and safety of the children
� Helping to prepare for and participates in parent/teacher conferences
� Observing and assisting in maintaining developmental and anecdotal records/reports pertaining to individual children
� Assisting in designing and maintaining a clean and organized developmentally appropriate environment
� Becoming knowledgeable of Department of Welfare Guidelines and Regulations
� Developing into a willing and cooperative team member
� Using appropriate and positive discipline techniques outlined in the Angels' Place Philosophy
An intern candidate must possess
� Proof of enrollment in an Early Childhood Education Program at an accredited educational institution.
� State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History clearances
� Current documentation of a health physical and proof of Tuberculin Skin Test
� Two letters of reference
