In September 2004, Angels’ Place began an initiative to build the Volunteer and Intern Collaborative with a vision to increase organizational capacity through collaboration with individual community partners who are concerned with the advancement of education and development of family.
Through the recruitment of individuals with diverse talents, backgrounds, and experiences, we seek to not only strengthen our existing human talent and support base but to also engender shared purpose and commitment to our mission throughout Pittsburgh.
In addition, we work with many organizations and corporations in Pittsburgh to offer a special opportunity for everyone.
The Volunteer Program was created to help develop leaders for the community who have an increased capability to effect positive change and innovation for the community as a whole.
It is our goal that each new leader will have an increased understanding of the economic, cultural and socio-political forces which shape our community, a broader understanding of and ability to meet community needs and most importantly a commitment to universal stewardship.

Angels’ Place has many, many opportunities (both short term and long term) for you at any of our three locations in Pittsburgh or even from the comfort of your favorite sofa at home.
You can be a mentor and role model for one of our incredible student parents.
You can help tutor or teach one of our avid learners, big ones and little ones.
You can help organize a truly one-of-a-kind special event and meet many of Pittsburgh’s other service-oriented dynamos.
