2011 Generations of Love Luncheon
The day before Mother's Day this year brought fun and fellowship to Angels' Place friends as we gathered at the charming 100-year-old Pittsburgh Athletic Association, filled with grace and elegance. The lovely Jennifer Abney, WPXI-TV anchor, served as our emcee. Highlighting the afternoon was a presentation about Showcase of Scholars, which recognizes our exemplary student parents. Also, we enjoyed musical entertainment, a delectable lunch, and the popular Angels' Place Lucky Purses and auctions! Thanks for your support, which provides low-income single parents who are full-time students with the help needed to complete their education and be successful for years to come.

2011 Walk for a Healthy Community On Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Heinz Field, Angels' Place was one of 70 organizations participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is presented annually by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, which underwrites the cost of the walk so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers supports the participating organizations. Thank you to everyone who supported Angels' Place by either walking or donating - we appreciate your support and we look forward to another wonderful walk with our friends in the spring of 2012!
